Community Relations Coordinator to help build networks of community leaders across North Carolina. Assist selected Smart Start Local Partnerships and/or organizations in recruiting teams of local community leaders (e.g., police chiefs, business executives, faith leaders, etc.) to serve as early childhood ambassadors, and develop tools, training, and technical assistance needed to maximize the impact of these teams in representing their community’s early childhood needs. Excellent oral and written communication skills required. Experience in building diverse coalitions, community relations, lobbying, or social marketing. $43,750 – $54,725 with excellent benefits package; Funded with private grant through 2013; strong possibility of continuation beyond that date.
